The cover story in our August issue was about community member Gene Lentzner's lifetime commitment to Tikkun Olam. As a result of Gene's tremendous achievements in this arena, The California Conference for Equality and Justice created the Gene Lentzner Human Relations Award, presented annually to those individuals who have made exceptional contributions toward improving human relations in Long Beach.
