SD PABAR 1
SD Pabar 1 is located in the Pemenang Barat District of Lombok. This was the first Pop Up School in the Pemenang district supported by the Pelita Foundation, Gugah Nurani Indonesia and Classroom of Hope. The opening ceremony was held on Tuesday 9th October. This three building, six classroom school served 189 children in grades 1 to 6.
The local government has recently decided to rebuilt a permanent school at SD Pabar 1. Therefore, this Pop Up School is currently in the process of being dismantled so that construction of the new, permanent structure can begin. The materials will be used to build a Pop Up School in a district near by for other children who need to get back to school. The exact location of the new Pop Up School has not been decided yet. Once we know these details we will share them here with you.
