SDN 1 Senggigi Pop Up School is located in the Senggigi Villagee of Batu Layar Sub District. The building of this pop up school has been completed in two phases. The first phase was the completion of the 4 elementary school rooms and 1 teachers room which were finished on 4th July 2019. The second phase was the completion of 3 kindergarten rooms which were finished on 12th July 2019.
We decided to support kindergarten at this pop up school because the kindergarten building was 90% broken. Kindergarten is important because 100% of its graduate students will continue to SDN 1 Senggigi. If we did not support kindergarten at Senggigi, parents would have to send toddlers to another kindergarten school which would mean SDN 1 Senggigi would loose the students for year 2020.
In addition to the 7 classrooms and 1 teachers' room we built at this school, the school has also received support from the village community to renovate 4 classrooms so there is a total of 11 classrooms at Senggigi. This is enough space to serve the 254 students and 16 teachers at SDN 1 Senggigi.
