LIFE’S COLOURS
It’s not a harsh place, it’s a soft
and gentle land.
I’ll make my bed in the soft and
gentle sand.
And old man time whispers in my ear,
All of us only linger here.
Neath the river gums, where the
breezes softly blow,
I’ll walk with you, while the
waters gently flow.
And angels speak in a voice so clear,
All is well, no need of fear.
On a golden beach, where the
waves break endlessly,
I stand in awe of the scene that
spreads before me.
And wish that you were standing near,
Like a thousand feet have stood right here.
With the setting sun, and the stars
that shine so bright,
I’ll rest my soul till the early morning light,
And think of those I hold so dear.
Sleep in peace, no danger here.
Cross the sweeping plains, o’er the snow
capped mountains high,
My spirit soars like an eagle in the sky.
And old man time whispers in my ear,
All of us only linger here.
