S1 Buses

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13 no these are not the winning numbers in this week's lottery, but they are the numbers of the bus bays at Lockerbie Academy. These are essential for most pupils getting a bus.

A lot of S1 pupils wonder how they get their bus passes so we went to Mrs McPherson to find out. If P7 pupils will require a bus pass in S1 the Academy will allocate one for them. It will go along a route which will stop at the bus stop closest to their house. They will receive their bus pass through the post which will be delivered by the Royal Mail service.

If a pupil misses their bus they will have to find their own method of transport, and if they miss their bus to get home they can go to the office and they will phone home so an alterative method of transport can be arranged.

If you are worrying about what bus you need to get on as you don’t know what number your bus is, what bay it is located in or if you simply forget, you can just look at your bus pass and the name, number, and bay number your bus is located in will be on your bus pass. If you also forget where you live you can find that on your bus pass as well.

All the information you need to know will be on your bus pass. Your bus's name, its bay, your address and your name are located on it. Your bus pass is also colour coded to your required bus.

So, if you want to get on your bus you need to have a bus pass which you will know now. Enjoy your bus travels!
