Hip hop contributor to Exclaim Magazine , Harmony explained that , “ battle rap is a fixture in hip hop . It ’ s considered a sport . It ’ s considered a form of entertainment and a chance for MCs to really showcase their skills . It is a part of the music industry . It ’ s a part of the music culture .” Sarkodie born Michael Owusu Addo may have proven himself to be one of the biggest rapper in Ghana but that hasn ’ t prevented his fellow rappers from coming at him . The rap beef between Sarkodie and Ball J born Albert Hanson has been one of the most exciting moments in the music industry this year . The ‘ diss ’ tracks they released are educating the youth on the lack of borders when it comes to content in beef as well as restoring the competitive nature between rappers in production , delivery and lyricism . the opposite prompted Sarkodie to release a diss track titled ‘ Subzero ’ on 6th April , 2020 and Ball J responding with ‘ Lullaby ’ two days after . Despite Sarkodie believing his track isn ’ t a diss to any artist , many seem to believe the opposite .
The beef between Sarkodie and Ball J stems from an argument between fans of both artists . From the perspective of music producer and rapper Ball J , it was a freestyle he did that a Twitter user posted on who said he ( Ball L ) is the hardest rapper , which didn ’ t go well with Sark fans who believed
