ON OUR RADAR
Molina’s Turns 75
Happy Birthday to a Houston institution! Molina’s Cantina,
Houston’s oldest family-owned and operated Tex-Mex
restaurant, is celebrating its 75th anniversary. While many of
Houston’s long-time Mexican restaurants have faded over the
years, Molina’s continues to maintain a consistently high standard of taste and service along with a long-standing base of
loyal fans. “We thank those who have supported us over the
years – our guests, our staff and our vendors –who truly are
our extended family,” says Ricardo Molina who, along with
brothers Raul III and Roberto, represents the third generation
to own and operate the family restaurant. Join the anniversary
party at any of Molina’s three locations: 7901 Westheimer
Road, 3801 Bellaire Boulevard and 4720 Washington
Avenue. www.molinascantina.com
Dressing Up The City
Scenic Houston’s Annual Dinner on Wednesday, October 26, begins
with a spectacular reception under the stars at Houston Country Club.
Immediately following, guests will be seated for a formal dinner. The
evening serves as Scenic Houston’s biggest fundraising event of the
year and will honor Scenic Visionary Larry D. Johnson, president and
CEO of the Johnson Development Corporation. All proceeds benefit
Scenic Houston’s mission to preserve the visual character of Houston
by enhancing Houston’s streets, sidewalks and public spaces. For
