In December 2002, Deborah Duncan joined KHOU Channel 11 as an anchor on 11 News This
Morning. After six years at the news desk, she took on a talk show format as host of “Great Day
Houston.” The show, produced locally by KHOU-TV, airs weekdays at 9am on Channel 11. Duncan is
the recipient of two Emmy Awards, two Gracie Allen Awards and a Telly Award, among other honors.
RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC You read it right! Instead of complaining about what
I can't control, I see the glass half full. I‘m Inside an air conditioned car, with
entertainment and phone service! It's great downtime!
KUHL-LINSCOMB This store has a lot, but if you are into candles, they have
every kind of wax, except ear wax! They are fragrant and pretty... as in, you’ll
still keep the container long after the candle has flickered its last flame!
POWERFUL WORDS I have a tattoo that says
“Happiness“ and bracelets that say “Dream“ and “Love.“
HOUSTON LIVESTOCK SHOW AND RODEO It‘s the biggest
annual effort in the name of charity, work ethic and culture. The
baby goat at the petting zoo was named Deborah. There‘s a goat
out there, named after me. I need to milk that for as much as I can!
HOUSTON!!! I love this city and its people and have a job that lets me highlight
both. From our world‘s largest medical center, to our diversity and our pounding
charitable heart! There's no place else I would rather call home.
