EVENT: 22ND ANNUAL SPRING GOLF CLASSIC
WHERE: MEMORIAL PARK GOLF COURSE
The Children’s Museum of Houston hosted a trium-
phant afternoon of golf clubs, putting greens and
scorecards at the 22nd Annual Spring Golf Classic
sold-out tournament on April 11 at Memorial Park
Golf Course.
Rain-or-shine more than 150-golfers attended the sold-
out event. Chaired by Jeb Bowden and Matt Kafka,
the tournament was an overall victory, raising close
to $135,000 for the Museum’s free and reduced
admissions programs, ensuring that no visitor is turned
away due to financial constraints.
The Children’s Museum of Houston’s free outreach
programs are presented at schools, libraries and
community centers. Last year, these programs had a
total attendance of nearly 330,000 at more than 280
