FISH FIXE REELS IN SEAFOOD LOVERS
Houston-based FISH FIXE delivers perfectly proportioned, premium seafood right to your door. Think scal-
lops, Ahi tuna, Gulf shrimp, Norwegian salmon, swordfish, lobster and more. You can pick your customized
box, or they’ll “fixe” one up for you – with fish frozen at the peak of freshness.
Where does it come from? Glad you asked. Everything is wild caught, except their Norwegian salmon,
which is one of their most premium offerings. Fish Fixe’s salmon is raised in open ocean net pens (2.5%
fish to 97.5% water and antibiotics, chemicals, pesticides or GMOs) off the coast of Norway. They con-
sciously selected this salmon because they believe it is a premium product produced with the highest of
aquaculture standards.
Did you know that 90% of Americans don’t eat enough seafood? These folks want to “fixe” that. And
who are they? Two friends and moms with two kids each and full-time jobs – EMILY CASTRO and
MELISSA HARRINGTON, who launched the business on November 1, 2017.
“Melissa and her husband have been in the seafood industry for many years, while my husband and I
both have careers in sales (alcohol and oil and gas),” says Emily. “Melissa and I met at A&M where
we played soccer together and then eventually (10 years later) became neighbors in Houston. In July
of 2017, Melissa and her husband Chris invited us to go to Mexico with some of her friends from back
home in Louisiana. On the final day there, soaking up the last few drops of sun and trying our hardest to
deplete their champagne inventory, Fish Fixe was born. Melissa has access to some of the most premium
seafood available and I have a knack for building brands. We came back and worked our tails off to build a
website, branding, social media and a marketing plan; we launched in 120 days.” The response has been
incredible – Fish Fixe has shipped to customers in 19 states and counting.
