POP A CORK!
The 9th Annual Keels & Wheels Uncorked event is scheduled for Thursday, March
22, from 7–10pm at the Bentley Showroom of Post Oak Motor Cars, located at
the all-new Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston. Guests will experience an elegant
evening of fine wines and exceptional food presented by some of Landry‘s Inc.‘s
finest restaurants, who are each assigned a classic automobile or vintage wooden
boat. The chef of each restaurant then selects a specific wine that they believe
matches the classic automobile or boat. Each chef prepares a custom hors d‘oeu-
vre that is paired with the wine to complete the epicurean experience for attendees
to sample. Proceeds from the event benefit the Boys & Girls Harbor. Tickets may be
purchased online at www.keels-wheels.com or by calling 713.521.0105.

PRIZE-WINNING PRAIRIE
THE MD ANDERSON POCKET PRAIRIE today has won the Houston-Galveston
Area Council’s (H-GAC) Parks and Natural Areas Award in the Projects
Under $500,000 category. The MD Anderson Pocket Prairie is a successful
collaboration between MD Anderson, Asakura Robinson and Katy Prairie
Conservancy (KPC), working together to bring the prairie into the city.
The 1.7 acre MD Anderson urban pocket prairie is part of Katy Prairie
Conservancy’s Prairie Builders Schools & Parks (PBSP) program, designed
to empower KPC’s partners to build and use pocket prairies on school
campuses and public parks. On any given day, you can see people on the
MD Anderson Pocket Prairie simply sitting and taking in their surroundings or
walking around the well-groomed trail in this urban oasis.
