the roast chicken, which was tender and phenomenal. The wine was
amazing too! The service was great, and the place seemed very busy.
As a birthday treat the waiters present you with an elaborate dish of
cotton candy (blue for the boys, and pink for the girls) topped with a
lit sparkler. So festive and fun! I’m already planning my next visit
here – this time for my birthday celebration!

JAPANEIRO’S SUSHI BISTRO & LATIN GRILL
$$ Sushi Bars, Latin American, Asian Fushion |
2168 Texas Dr. Sugar Land | 281.242.1121 | www.japaneiro.com
By far one of the best places I have ever eaten sushi at. I have been
to all the hotspots in Houston and if you're looking for an affordable,
great sushi experience you can’t beat Japaneiro’s. My favorites, hands
down, are the Sasu and shaggy dog. But you can’t go wrong with the
Cabo roll. Everything in this place is good. It’s always fresh and you can
tell that it is very high-quality food. This place is always busy but I’ve
never failed to get a table pretty quickly. If not, I just sit at the bar with
my friends. The Latin cuisine is also out of this world. If you want a
churrasco but don’t want to pay the price just order the encebollado –
same thing just cheaper and with onions. You got to try this place.

WOW! I finally got a chance to try it out for lunch in Downtown (800
Polk Street). The service was quick. I got the Melted Hash Brown
(5/5) – OMG, the hash browns were crispy and fluffy. The pork, sauce
and seasoning were on point!

THE CELLAR DOOR

Oh, my goodness. Place is a bit hard to find but well worth the hunt.
Hundreds of everyday restaurants all up and down Mason Road, but
here’s a little gem tucked away just off of Cimarron at Mason. Nothing
fancy on the outside but when you walk through the doors you are
immediately transported into a beautiful and tranquil spot that serves
really great food. The seared ahi tuna and the meatball sliders were
both very well-prepared. Owner and chef both showed up – friendly
and accommodating to a couple special requests.

We are new to Texas and I love this place. The drinks are yummy &
the food is tasty. The hush puppies are amazing!!!! The chicken sandwich left a little to be desired but is still good. I look forward to going
back!

Second time here. These people have got it down. Best pozole in
Houston!! Homemade and tastes like your abuela’s or your mother’s
recipe. Cinnamon coffee mmmm. I tried the Cuban sandwich today and
it just melts in your mouth. The bakery marranitos aka “ginger pigs”
are a MUST. So fluffy and thick!!!!! Service is like you’re invited to a
friend’s home. Not too crowded, atmosphere calm unlike other morning crowded “hype” places. Sopes are delish and tacos are a favorite
for my son. I would recommend the pozole and the Cuban torta.
Sunday morning tradition from now on.

MMMM. I’ve only been once, but I’m sure it won’t be my last. Be sure
to order ahead, as there is a steady stream of people picking up their
pies. My wife and I went classic and got a straight pepperoni. OMG,
the sauce was flavorful, the crust was crisp and best of all, the pepperoni had a nice kick to it! I’m sure it’s a usual spot for students being
right by the HCC campus. Please go to Luigi’s you'll be happy you did.

Amazing food, amazing ambience and very friendly staff! You can see
the hard work and passion that is put into the opening of this restaurant! The food was absolutely perfect! The atmosphere is so fun and
relaxed. Loved the outdoor seating too! So happy to have Halal Guys
in Houston!!

THE WAFFLE BUS

Licking my fingers as I type! This place is so AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!!
I think they should steal the “finger licking good” phrase and coin it for
themselves. The sauce that they use is sweet and zesty and is just simply wonderful. I ordered the chicken bites and fries combo this time.
Last time, I had the chicken and waffles. Both were equally delicious.
No wonder the line was so long! I had to wait 40 minutes to order.
Then, get in another line and wait 20 more minutes for my food. But,
boy, was it worth it! This place is a must-try!

TOP SUSHI
$$ Sushi Bar | 8401 Westheimer Rd. | 713.782.0108
www.topsushibar.com
I love this place! I have been to Uchi, MF Sushi, Kata Robota, Soma
and many other sushi restaurants but I would say this place is legit with
the quality of food they have, the service and especially their cheap
prices during happy hour! You can’t beat their prices and the quality of
food! Their Monkey Brain was so good, sounds weird but it’s delicious.
Their crispy Calamari is one of the best I’ve had and their soft shell crab
– oh, boy, was that crunch so good. I highly recommend trying their
scorpion roll or push roll also. I will definitely come back again.
