We took to social media last month to research your favorite snow cone spots and found the suggestions to be as diverse as they were vast in their locations citywide . The Heights seems to be stomping ground for snow cone mania . Mam ’ s started with a wildly popular truck and now their storefront at 1040 W . Cavalcade St . sees an average of a 30-minute wait to try one of the highly coveted cups of shaved ice . Yeti Sunshine ’ s shiny trailer hand-shaves their filtered-water snowballs and then douses them with handmade syrups using real fruit , herbs , juice and pure cane sugar . In Sugar Land , The Ice Barn ’ s snow balls have a cult following with fans topping their snow with condensed milk or ice cream . 15910 Old Richmond Rd . Tampico Refresqueria features Mexican-style raspas in a variety of flavors from artificial to natural , with toppings including creams , ice cream , chamoy and mangonada . 4520 N . Main St .
