Looking for home-grown art? Then look no
further than the Washington Avenue Arts
District — Texas’ largest creative commu-
nity. In fact, it’s a state-recognized cultural
district in Houston. Already, the District is
home to several converted warehouse studio
buildings (you can find LOCAL Houston mag-
azine inside Spring Street Studios). The
multi-building complex is home to more
than 300 studios of artists and cre-
ative entrepreneurs, as well as vast
amounts of exhibition and event
