CORNER Financial Advice from the Royal Medical Benevolent Fund This charity is set up to help doctors and their families in times of need. They also provide support for medical students in the form for financial advice, support and grants. Visit their website at http://www.rmbf.org/medical-students/ Accommodation Looking for somewhere to live can be a stressful time. Contact Golding to see some of the brilliant properties they have on offer. You can also get in touch with any of the members of the LMSS committee, between us we have lived across all areas of Liverpool and gained a wealth of knowledge and advice! http://www.goldingestates.co.uk NHS Don’t forget that the NHS website has loads of advice for any physical or mental health advice (maybe a bit of revision as well). They have some brilliant advice and links to external sources (especially their ‘Moodzone’). We will be reading a book every month then meeting in the last week of the month to chat about the book, the story line, the characters, the themes. We might even try and channel our GSCE English selves and mention ‘metaphors’ or ‘pathetic fallacy’. Keep an eye out on the LMSS facebook page for details of new sessions coming up ‘Coffee and Chat/Tea and Talk/Cake and Chinwag’. This is a drop-in session for all things Welfare and support. We will chat about any problems, share advice and create a support network for anyone in need. Plus free tea/coffee/cake!!
