1. Be responsible for the organising of the
Annual Smoking Concert according to the
history and traditions of the Society.
1. Advise the Full Committee of which
charities will be supported by the Society
no later than the 31st of September each
year;
2. Represent the Society’s effort to
promote and encourage voluntary work
and the charitable giving of time and
energy locally, nationally and overseas in
all matters relating or pertaining to such
business of the Society;
3. Host a series of fundraising events
throughout each academic year in a form
and manner of their choosing;
4. Organise and implement an annual
food and clothing bank for the Homeless;
5. Promote and support all fundraising
campaigns and initiatives being carried out
by any associated Charities;
6. Present any monies collected to their
respective charities alongside the Officers
of the Society, at the close of their term in
office.
2. The Annual Smoking Concert may be
branded as may be decided is appropriate
by the Chairmen of the concert.
Your jobs will also include:
- Choose the Charities the LMSS will support
- Run various charity events through the year eg:
- Charity Auction
- Three Peaks Challenge
- London-Paris Cycle
- Jailbreak
- Organise food and clothing bank
- Organise Charity raffles for LMSS events
- BE INNOVATIVE! Use your ideas to bring some
thing new to the society!!
- General LMSS Committee Duties
Your jobs will also include:
- Liaise with the O2 venue for Grand Round
- Organise sponsorship for the event
- Appoint judges for Grand Round
- Have tickets produced for the event
- Promotion of the Grand Round
- Liaising with each year group
- Produce sketches between each year’s
performances
- General LMSS Committee Duties
3. The Annual Smoking Concert shall
consist of a revue show with specific
entertainment provided by the Chairmen
themselves and from each Year group,
chosen internally.
4. The Chairmen shall decide and
appoint between four and six judges for the
concert who may or may not be Members
of the Society, and The Honorary Life
President and The Honorary President (who
shall have the casting vote), shall always
be approached to sit as a judge for the
concert.
5. Allow the judges of the concert to
notify the Chairmen, regarding the Year
group who they decide has
