I n s t a nt BioScan’s Rea l-Time Monitoring Systems™ detect and quantify microorganisms in purified water, water for injection instantly and continuously. The RMS systems are non-growth based real time microbial and inert particle monitoring systems for aqueous products. This is a direct detection technology and requires no reagents, chemicals, stains or secondary processing of samples. Two systems are available: RMS-ON90 is used for online con tinuous monitoring of bioburden in water systems. It is also a fully automated system within IP 65/NEMA 4 compliant enclosure for WFI and Purified Water installations. This thermoelectric temperature control system and components are able to support input sample temperatures up to 90°C. The RMS-UM portable analyser combines automated continuous online monitoring capabilities with the flexibility of single sample processing. This system has an optional battery power supply, HEPA filtration and is able to connect directly to point of use sampling ports and WFI hoses. T h e R M S O p e r at i n g Software is CFR 21 Part 11 compliant, ethernet and WIFI capable, and has SCADA connectivity via Modbus communication protocol for immediate control of water for production systems. ⚛ Anatech Instruments Contact: Hein Venter Tel: 011-462‑6776 Email: [email protected] Perfect Dosing with Quantos Illuminating Specimens M ettler Toledo’s Quantos dispensing modules for powder and liquid can be added to all XPE analytical balances. The Quantos® powder (Q2) and liquid (QLB) dispensing modules can be retro-fitted to the XPE Excellence series analytical balances. The addition of automated powder and liquid dispensing functionality to the balance allows the easy preparation of samples and standards, eliminates weighing and dilution errors, and simplifies the weighing of toxic substances. Both modules can be added to the balance to dispense powders and liquids to a required target weight or concentration with just a touch of a button. Balances can still be used manually with these modules present to weigh substances that are not suited to automated dispensing. The Q2 can automatically dispense the required amount of powder. Using the liquid module with the XPE balance allows one to prepare the solution in any target container, only make up the required solution necessary and eliminate the need for volumetric flasks or weighing papers, which supports Green Chemistry initiatives. Out-of-specification results require resources and time to resolve. Automating the solution preparation process significantly reduces these sources of error and the risk of these results. ⚛ Microsep Contact: Sandra Reid Tel: 011-553‑2300 Email: [email protected] W eiss Umwelttechnik GmbH has enlarged its product portfolio with the new Pharma 250-L. The Pharma 250-L photostability test cabinet is characterised by an ideal light, UV, temperature and humidity distribution and hence guarantees absolutely reproducible light, UV and climate conditions. The lighting installations used correspond to the ICH guideline Q1B Option 2 and permit photostability tests to be carried out within less than 100 hours. One of the most important requirements with regard to photostability testing is the homogeneous illumination of the specimens. Due to this, the distance to the source of the light is constant throughout the entire storage area. In addition, the inhomogeneous emission of light by fluorescent tubes is balanced by special patented light and UV filter systems, therefore homogeneous illumination of the entire storage area is achieved. This system can be equipped with corresponding light and UV sensors, so that light and UV integration can be displayed both graphically and numerically. By upgrading of the system, entering the target values is possible both in Lux hours and in Wh/ m². Moreover, warning and alarm limit values can be specified for all parameters. The required relative air humidity is generated with a patented steam humidification system (sterile steam system) in which the water introduced into the system is sterile evaporated at 140°C. ⚛ Labotec Tel: 011-315-5434 Fax: 011-315-5882 Email: [email protected]
