Quality Control LMS? Issue 6 | 2013? 33 A Simulation Cabinet without Limits T he operating philosophy of the WK3 from Weiss Technik is to enable users to access operating and control functions as well as to provide manual access to processes quickly and conveniently. The standard WK3 is equipped with a large 12” TF T touchscreen monitor for convenient and easy operation. Furthermore, the chambers are equipped with an illuminated control pad that permanently displays the current operating state and parameters. Users, thus, have a clear view of all the important processes and can complete their work using their fingertips. Authorised users have access to the current application at all times through the integrated network interface and the web server on the internet. Therefore, users get the feeling that they are standing right in front of the unit and monitoring its progress. The technical features of the WK3 generation have also been optimised. Manufacturers place great importance on a high level of operational reliability and the performance of their products. The WK3 is in the position to maintain all climate parameters during continuous operation, for example at 85°C, with 85% relative humidity. Even under exceptional conditions, such as midsummer outdoor temperatures or extreme climatic conditions inside the product, it will still maintain all climate parameters. ? The gauge can even transfer data wirelessly to a mobile phone, recording the GPS coordinates of where the measurement was taken. The measurement speeds have a lso increased to 70 readings per minute in this device. When connected to the Elcometer 456 coating thickness gauge, the probe has a reading rate in excess of 140 readings per minute, enhancing the speed and accuracy of field-based dry film coating thickness measurement on ferrous (F) and non-ferrous (NF) substrates. Each probe has been designed to take a ‘snap on’ replaceable end cap, so that the sliding action required to achieve a scan of a coated surface does not cause any wear to the probe tip. The thickness of the cap is excluded from any coating thickness measurement and as the cap wears during use, the wear effect is also accounted for. The gauge will even display a warning message when the cap needs to be replaced. ‘Scan’ mode allows users to sli FRF?R&?&R?fW"F?RV?F?&P??7W&f6R&V?B2F?R&?&R?0??gFVB?fbF?R7W&f6R?F?RvVvP???B???F?7??2F?RfW&vP?6?F??rF??6??W72?'WB?6?F?P???v?W7B?B??vW7B6?F??rF??6??W70?f?VW2?F??2??FR6??6?&RW6VBv?F??( ????N( ?gV?7F????v??6?F?V????w2F?P?&?&RF?&R???V?F&???gFVBg&??F?P?7W&f6RF?6?V"&V27V6?2vV?FV@?????G2?BF?V??6VB&6???6??F7@?v?F?F?R6?F??rF?6??F??VRFF&V6?F??rv?F??WB??FW''WF?????( ?WF?&WVN( ???FR?F?R&?&P?6?FW27&?72F?R7W&f6R?B??&P?F??Gv?&VF??w2&R&V6?&FVB??F?P?FWf?6^( ?2?V??'?WfW'?6V6??B?W6??p?F?RV?6??WFW.( ?2( ?6?V?FVBfW&v^( ???B( ?f??VB&F6?( ???FW2?F?RvVvP??WF??F?6??F?W2F?&VR&VF??w2?@?7F?&W2F?RfW&vR?F?W2?&VGV6??rF?P?F??R?BF?W2F??V7W&R66?&F??rF??F?R552'?WF?CR?)????$?"?G???F@?6??F7C??w&??GV??FVà?#?c?2?#?V??à?6?W4&?"?6?????
