Rapid Real-time PCR Mycoplasma Detection Kits

apid methods for the detection of mycoplasma contamination, a major risk associated with cell
culture-derived products are essential
for improving the monitoring of the
production process of biologicals.
Sartorius Stedim Biotech, represented locally by NATSEP, offers
Microsart AMP Mycoplasma, which
enables reliable and sensitive detection
of Mycoplasma DNA in just a few hours.
The test procedure has been successfully
validated for sensitivity, specificity and
robustness, according to European
Pharmacopoeia 2.6.7.
This kit is specifically designed for
microbiological QC labs in the biopharmaceutical industry or contract labs
performing mycoplasma contamination
in-process controls and/or lot release
testing. It is used for the direct detection
of mollicutes (mycoplasma, acholeplasma, spiroplasma) in cell cultures, cell
culture media components and derived
biologicals. Sample types include master
cell banks, working cell banks, virus
seed lots, virus harvests and final lots of
biologicals produced by cells.

The versatile PD plug-and-play
packages offer flow rates ranging from
0.1ml to 3.800ml per minute, includ-
ing silicon and tygon material, which
covers 80% of all laboratory requirements as far as chemical compatibility
is concerned.
Depending on the requirement, pump
drives feature analogue or digital RS
232C interfaces and electronic speed
sensitivity. Carefully selected primer/

for more than 70 mycoplasma species.
