Daniel E. Yonan is an experienced intellectual property trial attorney focusing on complicated patent disputes before federal district courts and fast-track investigations before the US International Trade Commission. He is a director in the Litigation Practice Group at intellectual property specialty law firm Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox. Mr. Yonan’s experience includes a wide range of responsibilities, such as witness preparation, direct and cross-examination of fact and expert witnesses, dispositive motion argument, and formation of overall trial strategy, as well as management of director and associate teams. Additionally, he has handled appeals before the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Known for devising creative strategies for getting pharmaceutical products to market, Mr. Yonan is sought out for advice on how to work within the framework of the Hatch-Waxman Act. His pharmaceutical training and industry experience play an important role in his ability to provide solutions that are based on solid business reasoning. Before attending law school, Mr. Yonan was a new-drug research chemist at Pfizer, Inc. (formerly G.D. Searle & Co.), where he focused on the development of novel anti-inflammatory drug candidates.
