You may have heard her soulful sound as a backup
singer for Gospel greats like Smokie Norful and
Beverly Crawford but behind the scenes this sister
in Christ was having a personal crisis of faith.
T
hough the crowds were rocked by her voice little did they
know that one dark day this artist who was once named “Best
Female Gospel Artist” for the 2014 Roc Awards and mother of
three considered taking her own life.
After suffering two tragic miscarriages and a botched surgery, Blair
was left with a damaged uterus and years of pain.
While she was fighting this battle of the mind she was brought to
her lowest point where she only had two choices “to give up or
trust God.” During that trying time a tune her husband penned
back in high school was strumming through her spirit and the
words simply came to her.

On her latest single Hold On, Blair
Monique Walker is touching lives by
sharing the testimony of how she broke
through that long term depression.
Blair was saved and baptized as a child
but as she grew into a young woman
she questioned why there were no
miracles or real intimacy with God.
When she went away to college, Blair had a one on one
experience with the Lord and she says “He blew me away” and
that’s when she realized “I was always gonna be His kid.”
