Annual ‘ A Round to Remember ’ Golf Classic
The 5th annual A Round to Remember Golf Classic will be held Saturday , June 18 at the Connemara Golf Course in Nicholasville , Kentucky . This event is hosted by local golfer Paul Bimschleger and his children – Dave , Curt and Chris Bimschleger . The Bimschleger family has raised over $ 118,000 for the Alzheimer ’ s Association in honor of Paul ’ s wife , Patricia , who they lost to Alzheimer ’ s disease in 2011 . “ The Bimschleger family became involved with the Alzheimer ’ s Association after our beloved mother passed away from Alzheimer ’ s after a seven year battle with this debilitating disease ,” said Dave Bimschleger . “ In memory of our mother , our family decided to initiate A Round to Remember Golf Classic . Our mother enjoyed golf and our family ’ s mission is to raise funds to be used to continue research to find a cure and to support families currently living with Alzheimer ’ s disease .”
