whether we are even going to ‘connect’ with people. We have all had

hill. And we have also experienced
the delight of meeting someone
for the first time and the communication is pristine, we ‘connect’
and it’s magic.

will ultimately transition how we

At our community, Council
Oaks Assisted Living Home of
Nicholasville, it is small by design
so we can do all three aspects of
whole life living; because it is
small, our staff to resident ratio is
also small or low, in fact, during
the day - it is 1:6, evenings, 1:10;
that gives staff and residents time
and energy to communicate,
connect and care at a higher level.
National average is 1:20.
So if we are all operating from
the mind, body and soul perspective, then that means we were
not made to control or to be
controlled, but to communicate,
