Apple Tarts INGREDIENTS 1 cups flour ¾ cups butter, slightly softened ½ teaspoon salt 3 ½ tablespoons water, cold ½ teaspoon vinegar 1 egg 3 apples 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 drop Clove oil 1 tablespoon granulated sugar 1/8 teaspoon salt DIRECTIONS 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Combine flour, butter, and salt. Use your fingers to sift through the mixture until the butter turns into pea-sized balls. 3. In a cup, whisk water, vinegar and egg together. 4. Pour over dry ingredients and mix with hands until just combined. Do not over mix. 5. Roll out into thin pieces on a floured surface. Place into tart pans. 6. Refrigerate tarts while prepping apples. 7. Core apples and thinly slice lengthwise. 8. Place in bowl with lemon juice, ground cinnamon, Clove oil, sugar and remaining 1/8 teaspoon of salt; toss. 9. Arrange apples in tart pan, overlapping slightly. 10. Brush some melted butter over the apples and edges of the crust. 11. Bake for about 1 hour or until the edges are golden brown and apples are baked all the way through. 12. Cool for 15 minutes before serving. Baked Apple Crumble INGREDIENTS 2 large tart apples 2 tbsp butter, melted 2 tbsp brown sugar 2 tbsp all purpose flour 6 tbsp quick oats 1 drop of Cinnamon Bark oil DIRECTIONS 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Cut apples in half, then core them using a knife or spoon. 3. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, and oats. 4. Combine butter and Cinnamon Bark oil in another small bowl and melt. 5. Slowly pour butter mixture into dry ingredients while stirring. 6. When combined, scoop into apples. 7. Place on tray and bake for 30 minutes. 8. When baked, cool for 5 minutes and serve with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired. doterra.com / 25
