Pets Feature
Personally , my family and I have adopted six dogs and four cats over the past 20 years . We currently have four pets : two cats ( both over 14 years old ), and two dogs , a fiver-year old pit bull mix , and a three-year old Yorkshire terrier mix . I ’ ve safely used essential oils topically on my dog ’ s skin and for anxiety issues , and for my cat ’ s joint discomfort . Essential oils have become an integral part of my life with my pets .
The last thing I ’ ll say when bringing a new pet home is one of the biggest concerns you might run into is feelings of nervousness from the pet . Thankfully , dōTERRA has many natural options to help create a soothing and calming environment for your new friend . Some of the calming essential aromas I ’ d recommend as you introduce a new pet into the household are Lavender , dōTERRA Serenity ™ ( not for internal usage ), dōTERRA Balance ™ ( not for internal usage ), Copaiba and Frankincense . One or two of these essential oils can be applied to new bedding or a carrier for transportation . You can also apply a drop or two to your hands , rub them together and pet your newly adopted furry friend prior to transportation . Again , don ’ t forget your cat self-grooms , so any topical application on the fur typically results in oral ingestion .
If you decide now is the time to bring home a new pet , I know that dōTERRA essential oils can help create a positive experience and welcoming environment for your new friend . I ’ ve seen their power in my own life and practice and I can ’ t wait for you to experience it as well !
