A lesser known oil, Patchouli is often overlooked
because of its strong and unique scent. This, however,
does not take away from its many positive benefits.
A member of the mint family, Patchouli’s muskysweet and earthy aroma makes it a great base for
floral blends. It is also a wonderful addition to woody
and grounding blends, and can help bring balance to
your favorite citrus blend. Scientifically known as
Pogostemon cablin, the patchouli plant has been
used most prevalently in the fragrance industry and
in other scented products such as soaps, detergents,
and air fresheners.
HOW TO USE
Aromatically
Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your
choice.
Diffuse alone or with woody aromas for a
grounding blend to balance your emotions.
Internally
Historically used to help reduce appetite,* support
healthy circulation,* and to freshen breath.
Consume one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid.
Topically
Add to daily moisturizer to help reduce the
appearance of wrinkles and blemishes.
Apply to dry areas to help reduce the effects of
dry skin.
Dilute and use as a deodorant.
Use with Peppermint and massage into neck after
a long day of work.

Patchouli’s scent is most recognized from
its prevalence in the 60s and 70s, when
patchouli incense was often used to help
