Celebrates Ten Years
Ten years ago, dōTERRA set out to change the world one
drop of essential oil at a time. Since then, the company has
grown from a few individuals filling bottles and creating
homemade labels to a global network of over 5 million
Wellness Advocates and Wholesale and Retail Customers.
With each drop shared, we are revolutionizing the way
families care for each other.
CELEBRATING A DECADE OF CHANGE WITH THE DAY OF CHANGE
Wanting to remain true to the culture of giving that is at the heart
of dōTERRA, the founders invited employees, customers, and
community members to give back by participating in a Day of
Change. dōTERRA kicked off celebrations by hosting a daylong
service project in partnership with Days for Girls International, where
employees and volunteers produced approximately 1,800 reusable
feminine hygiene kits to be distributed to girls and women in
developing communities throughout the world.
The Day of Change efforts spread far and wide, with Wellness
Advocates and customers serving in communities throughout the
world. In China, the dōTERRA team and volunteers assembled 200
care bags for children fighting critical illnesses, while in Bulgaria, the
Esseterre team observed the Day of Change by donating time and
efforts to a community cleanup project.
HEALING HANDS PARTNERS WITH PROTECT
The dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation® in partnership with
3Strands Global Foundation introduced the PROTECT project in
Utah Schools. The announcement was made by dōTERRA
co-founder Mark Wolfert and 3Strands Global Foundation
co-founder, president, and CEO Ashlie Bryant. The PROTECT project
(Prevention Organization to Educate Children on Trafficking) is a
Day of Change—Volunteers assemble feminine hygiene kits
human trafficking prevention education and training program that
aims to lower children’s vulnerability to being trafficked.
“It is a great privilege,” said Ashlie Bryant, “to stand alongside
dōTERRA and lock arms together as we create a world free from
human trafficking right here in Utah.” Through PROTECT, teachers
and students learn about red flags, response protocols, and ways to
prevent exploitation through a grade-specific curriculum.
The dōTERRA culture of
giving back is a common
thread that ties our
employees and Wellness
Advocates together.
As dōTERRA reflects on their first decade, look forward to the many
new and exciting opportunities ahead. Emily Wright said, “As we
celebrate ten years in the dōTERRA history, we really count our
success based upon the number of lives that we have been able to
empower and change for the better, rather than by looking at the
dollars and cents. We are so excited for what the future holds and
for the number of lives that will continue to change in the future.”
Thank you for empowering individuals, families, and communities.‘’
dōTERRA received the Verified Market Leadership Award in the Global Aromatherapy and Essential Oils Market.
The award was granted based on independent research conducted by Verify Markets, which found that a combination of high quality essential
oils, a strong focus on sustainability, charitable giving, a satisfied customer base, and global revenue has allowed dōTERRA to experience
explosive growth and positioned the company as the global market leader.
