WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT IN YOUR
NFL CAREER?
I would say the biggest accomplishment of my NFL career so far would be
scoring the game-winning touchdown in the NFC Championship game,
advancing the Cardinals to the Super Bowl my rookie year. That and working
my way back to the NFL after three years off due to my ACL injury.
WHAT WOULD BE
YOUR ULTIMATE
ACHIEVEMENT?
In life, family first—raising a
family is my number one
priority. I want to be the best
dad and husband I can be.
For football, overcoming the
impossible and inspiring
others to do the same.
HOW DO YOU SET YOUR GOALS?
First, I look at the big picture. I look at what I want to accomplish in the end
and then backtrack and start at the beginning. What milestones or steps do
I need to take to get to the end goal? It’s all about remembering the bigger
picture and figuring out the steps that get you there.
WHAT WAS THE BEST ADVICE YOU WERE EVER GIVEN?
For football and career, surround yourself with people who have
accomplished what you’re looking to accomplish. You see the fruits of their
labor and see the work they’ve put in, and you listen to them and take their
advice. Second, invest in your body and in your craft. Discipline yourself to do
the things that will prepare you for next steps in your career.
In life, sacrifice to the level that you want to achieve. Whatever it is you want
in life, depending on what it is, understand the sacrifice required to achieve
that. Nothing is really impossible. The higher you want to achieve, the greater
the sacrifice. If you’re willing to put in the work and make the necessary
sacrifices, you can achieve whatever you set your mind to.
