The grapefruit was first documented in 1750 by Reverend Griffith Hughes in the book The Natural History of
Barbados, where the name of the grapefruit was literally translated as the “forbidden fruit.” Tart and tangy with
a little bit of sweetness, grapefruit was bred as a cross between a pomelo and an orange. To make one 15 mL
bottle of Grapefruit essential oil, we press the peels of about 50 grapefruits.
How to use:
Aromatically
Add three or four drops in a diffuser to
promote feelings of energy and excitement.
Add three drops of Grapefruit, one drop
of Ylang Ylang, and one drop Sandalwood
in a diffuser for a focusing blend.
Fun Fact:
Grapefruits (Citrus X paradisi)
were given the name because of the way they
grew in cluster’s similar to grapes.
Internally
Add one to two drops to your water to
support a healthy metabolism.*
Add a few drops to whipped topping
and make your favorite dessert even better.
Topically
Add to your moisturizer or lotion as part
of your nightly routine (avoid UV light exposure).
With Fractionated Coconut Oil, add one
or two drops on desired areas. Massage for
refreshing, smooth looking skin.
