Veterinary-Agriculture Lab Makwanpur The dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation ® and CHOICE Humanitarian-Nepal began a multi-year project in 2016 to build a Veterinary-Agriculture Lab facility for the Janakalyn Higher Secondary School in Palung, Makwanpur, Nepal. When the lab was completed in 2018, the Honorable Mrs. Bidhya Devi Bhandari, President of Nepal, attended the inauguration to emphasize the importance of vocational skills training and education. School Reconstruction Ramechhap In the aftermath of the 2015 earthquakes in Nepal, the Gokul Ganga Higher Secondary School in Ramechhap was badly damaged and needed to be rebuilt. The campus was finally completed in 2018, with the help of the dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation and CHOICE Humanitarian-Nepal, and now meets Nepal’s government standards for earthquake resilience. The school consists of two 8-classroom buildings, and can accommodate 700 students. Gokul Ganga Higher Secondary School was inaugurated by dōTERRA Founding Executive Rob Young during the December 2018 Nepal Cō-Impact Sourcing ® expedition. New Hospitals Makwanpur | Ramechhap In 2017, the dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation and CHOICE Humanitarian-Nepal began building a hospital in the community of Makwanpur, Nepal. In 2018, the hospital was completed and fully equipped to benefit the lives of at least 100,000 people in the area. The donated equipment includes patient beds, ECG machine, radiant heat warmers, and much more. The two-room facility will assist 1,245 students in learning new agricultural techniques, and will allow farmers a place to test soil quality and study plant diseases. The dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation and CHOICE Humanitarian-Nepal completed outfitting the Veterinary-Agriculture Lab with equipment in 2018, including a small distillation unit for demonstrations and trials. 60 dōTERRA HEALING HANDS FOUNDATION I ANNUAL REPORT 2018 The dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation and CHOICE Humanitarian- Nepal have begun plans to build a new Gokul Ganga Hospital in Ramechhap.
