Peace House The dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation ® and local partners began a construction project in 2018 to build a new shelter in Park City, Utah, for survivors of domestic violence in Summit and Wasatch counties. The Peace House will be a secure facility including eight emergency housing shelter units with flexible configurations to accommodate families of various sizes. Twelve self-sufficient suites will also allow longer-term occupancy of 6–24 months as needed. This new facility will quadruple the number of housing units from the 15 that are currently available, to 60 at the new Peace House facility. The Peace House will not only provide lodging for domestic abuse survivors, but also support services including a support group room, a childcare center, a Peace Room, a classroom, an outdoor courtyard, and a client boutique where residents can obtain clothes, shoes, and other essential items donated by the local community. This construction project is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2019. 40 dōTERRA HEALING HANDS FOUNDATION I ANNUAL REPORT 2018 Rwanda School Utah 12 Self- sufficient Suites 60 Units Benefitting Families Construction began on the G.S. Mére du Verbe Kibeho School update project in Rwanda in 2018. While additional campus areas will be renovated, this construction project is focused mainly on the two dormitories that will house the students as they pursue their education at this Rwanda school. In December, Days for Girls reusable feminine hygiene kits, calculators, and backpacks were donated for students of this school. In addition the dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation is funding, in part, the donation of 300 wheelchairs to disabled children in Rwanda with the organization Angel Rider. The wheelchairs are designed to navigate rough and uneven terrain, and will benefit the Murama and Kabare sectors in the Kayonza district of Rwanda. doterrahealinghands.org 41
