Disaster Relief Alexis and Gene Krcelic | Bahamas In Nassau, Bahamas, Alexis and Gene Krcelic worked with several nonprofits to take aid to communities that were devastated by Hurricane Dorian. Dr. Priya Advani | Agatha Labeck | Canada After a natural dike broke, water from the Lake of Two Mountains came rushing into the community of Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac, Quebec, flooding it within minutes. Evacuation began immediately; many families only had time to get in the car and go, leaving their homes and valuables behind. Wellness Advocate Agatha Labeck and her team provided and distributed 72- Hour Emergency Relief Hygiene Kits in the area. Agatha noted, “People were very welcoming—despite their misfortune—and were happy to receive any help.” A total of 1,250 kits were sent to Canada, assisting those in Quebec and Ottawa. Dealing with severe smoke damage and damaged homes and possessions, residents began clean-up efforts.
