OUR Fight against Human Trafficking | Intl
With support from organizations such as the dōTERRA Healing Hands
Foundation ® , Operation Underground Railroad (OUR) has conducted rescues
and facilitated trafficked survivor aftercare across the world. In 2019 alone,
they have fought trafficking in Cambodia, Colombia, Peru, Haiti, Guatemala,
Ukraine, and Thailand.
Among many successful rescues, the dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation
has supported the following highlights of 2019:
• Five siblings were rescued in Cambodia
after their mother sold three of them in
order to feed her drug addiction. • OUR rescued their one-thousandth
survivor in Peru—a 14-year-old girl who
had been enslaved for years.
• OUR is working with police officials
in Columbia, under the direction of
the Columbian president, to conduct
investigations into human trafficking. • A forensics lab was created in Peru.
Working with Peruvian officials, OUR
helped evaluate what technology
was needed to examine and process
evidence more effectively. This will
help officials rescue more survivors and
prosecute traffickers.
• Approximately 50 trafficking survivors
and other at-risk girls in Haiti recently
completed a vocational training program.
They are prepared to enter multiple
industries, and some are even starting
their own businesses.
• Three survivors in Guatemala enrolled
at universities and completed their first
semesters in December.

• OUR partnered with Mission 823 in
Ukraine to care for at-risk and vulnerable
