Little Pearls to help
you live life well
You know the feeling. The little tickle in the throat, a
bit of pressure in the sinuses, the sensation that your
thinking is less clear than usual. And you know what is
coming next - a week or more of sore throat, runny nose,
aching joints, and just feeling miserable.
It's never convenient to fall ill, but what can we do when
we feel a head cold coming on at the worst possible time?
Is there a way to avoid it?
The good news is, yes, often we can avoid falling ill, even
after we feel it coming on. Here is how.
2. Stay warm.
Any extra rest you can give yourself will
be put to good use by your immune
system, even an extra ten minutes in bed
can help.
Raise your body temperature slightly with
a hot drink or hot shower. Then rug up and
let yourself be extra warm. Better yet, warm
up, rug up, climb in bed and take a nap. You
know you've got it right when you notice
a very slight sweat. With your pores open
your body will take the opportunity to push
the pathogen out.
3. Take herbs.
4. Get an acupuncture
