upFront interviews

Me: Good Morning! How was your flight to Toronto?

Emma: Good Morning. My flight was absolutely wonderful… minus some turbulence experienced, which scared the daylights out of most of us. (Laughs)

Me: Oh really? Well the weather here is full of surprises. So tell me, Emma how does it feel to be known as the top 10 most successful young females of your time?

Emma: To be honest I never see my self as in a race with others to make it to the top though it is a humbling emotion I would say it is a way for me to say to myself that yes indeed I have worked hard.

Me: Tell us a little about your transition into adulthood. I mean you started your career at a very young age and kind of went to school at the same time. How did all of this work out?

Emma: Well Harry Potter was like my first break through which brought many new aspects to my life. I must say my early teenage years did go by fast as I spent most of my time on the set. However my dream to pursue a further education was still one of my main motives. If I had to some up my life so far I would say my transition wasn’t smooth but it never is, when you’re turning an adult or while you’re in the process of it, you have to leave a few tings behind, like a few relationships and aspects of your life to adapt to new ones. And as you progress through this transition new motives take place of old desires.

Me: What is Emma’s definition of “ the Dream”?

Emma: Umm….. (Laughs). I got this of a famous theorist and psychologist Daniel Levinson. He says “ the dream is the individual’s sense of self in the adult world and is the core of the life structure.” Which I totally agree with.

Me: What your advice to be the adolescences that are going through this transition?

Emma: I would say always remember who you are now and what you want to be. Like Erik Erikson states that the process of transition in development take place through eight stages but the main focus of these eight stages Is the forming of the identity, which eventually emerges and matures. Things happen in life and they happen for us to learn from and grow from. Even though the journey looks though, just know the adventure is much more joyful.

Me: That’s really nice. Thank you so much Emma for joining us today and sharing such inspiring words.

Emma: Thank you for having me, it was a pleasure to be here.
