Local News 15 Firms come together to Another win for Morecrofts celebrate dispute resolution week Morecrofts Managing Partner Helen Broughton has been named Legal Advisor of the year at the annual Livercool Awards. Held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, the awards organised by Downtown in Business are 50% online votes and 50% judging panel. Morecrofts were delighted to attend and speak at an event hosted by the Merseyside Collaborative Law POD to mark the end of dispute resolution week on Friday November 29. Helen said: “I am honoured, excited and delighted to have been named Legal Advisor of the Year. The Livercool Awards are always a great event and the Downtown team do a fantastic job. I look forward to continuing to promote Morecrofts’ great legal work through 2014 and extend my thanks again for everyone who voted for me.” Held at Water Street’s Oh Me Oh My the evening saw representatives from different Merseyside firms come together to share information, experience and thoughts on the area of law. Also invited were local business –people and judges. Glasses were raised in celebration of the increase in dispute resolution uptake in recent years rather than the old way of going to court. Organiser and Family Law Partner at Morecrofts Carole Brennan spoke on behalf of the Collaborative Law POD. Godfrey Freeman of Morecrofts also spoke at the event. Following the evening Carole said: “It was great to see practitioners from different law firms gather at the event for an evening of great networking. Godfrey Freeman “Dispute Resolution is fast becoming a more attractive option to clients. It’s a cheaper, faster and far less stressful process than court as well as a huge benefit to children who may be involved.”
