Local News 15 Meet the new Directors of Liverpool Law Society Liverpool Law Society HR Forum The Liverpool Law Society HR Forum is attended by Human Resource professionals who work within the Legal Sector across the city. The meetings are held during lunchtime every quarter and offer ‘’bitesize’’ sessions aimed at providing an opportunity for member Firms to discuss and share experiences around particular, current topics affecting them and their workforce. Naomi Pinder of Quality Solicitors Jackson & Canters specialises in wills & probate, power of attorney, court of protection issues and estate planning. She joined the firm in 2011 and previously worked at Rex Makin & Co. Naomi co-ordinates the Merseyside Christian Lawyers Group which continues to hold monthly meetings at Liverpool Law Society and the held a very successful carol service in December. Naomi has two grown up sons and is an active member of St Peter’s Church in Woolton, she enjoys gardening and is involved with Christian Aid. Readers of Liverpool Law will recall that she went to Haiti last year with the charity to raise awareness of Christian Aid’s work to alleviate poverty. Hailing from South Yorkshire, Adele Schofield trained at Gregory Abrams before joining The Berkson Globe Partnership in 2002, and has been a partner for 11 years. Adele specialises in family law, in particular child care work and public law. She is also the Chair of the Liverpool Law Society Family Sub Committee. Adele is a member of Resolution, trained as a Collaborative Lawyer and is a Resolution Accredited specialist, she is also a member of the Law Society's Children Panel and Family Panel. Away from the office Adele enjoys running and cookery. She is also fortunate to own a property in Ibiza and enjoys spending some time in the sun. Membership of Liverpool Law Society Gareth Roberts, Chartered Financial Planner at Towry gave an excellent presentation at the January meeting about Financial Planning, Pensions and Corporate benefits.
