5.5.3 PUBLIC PLAZA DESIGN Project Description The aim of this intervention is to design a ver- satile space to accommodate multiple uses. According to the findings of the study, multiple activities take place at this vacant space at dif- ferent times of the day. Hence, the proposed intervention aims to separate this conflict of use physically through designing a multiple lev- el plaza. Proposed Activities • Design the street section according to acceptable standards and international guidelines. • Demarcate the different functions of public open space activities, including shop ex- tensions, street vending stalls, pedestrian paths, and street furniture. • Improve vehicular accessibility to the shop- ping malls for service purposes. • Use of low cost materials to avoid increas- ing the land value.
