5.4.1 LIVELIHOOD DEVELOP- MENT PROGRAM
It is essential to implement a development program that aims at the improvement of the livelihood of the users of the AAA , especially the employees and street vendors . This development program should include demand-driven trainings to provide and enhance the marketable skills of the business owners and employees for gainful employment . Also , it is recommended to develop a management guide for the street vendors of the AAA that regulates and defines their rights and activities . This guide includes the laws and regulations related to them , the type of products they sell , and a customized design for their carts relative to the diverse type of products .

Key Partners
Mall Managers , CA , and Shop owners / keepers
The aim of this intervention is to improve the street section of the sidewalk adjacent to Zamzam , both Aly al-Deen , and Diamond shopping malls . This project is selected as a short-term intervention as it is independent of the longterm interventions .
The challenge of this sidewalk is that the activities and functions taking place over it change from one location to the other according to the type of shop frontage . Hence , the design objective of this proposal is to re-design the sidewalk according to acceptable standards and street section guidelines , adapting with the diversity of each type of shop frontage .
