EDITORS NOTE
THE
picture above while meant to
be humorous depicts a hapless housewife at her wits end, clearly having a bad day. Cleaning the oven was the
last straw for her.
Winter can have that affect on us. When
will winter end?
I escaped the winter inversion a couple of
weeks ago, enjoying the greenery and sunshine in California - there was definitely a
hint of spring in the air. Spring comes early
to warmer climes and perhaps even taken a
bit for granted by those who are spared the
harsh barren landscape of snow covered
happiness. Not me. Back at home I notice
each chirp of a lone robin, the feasting by
the quails on the fallen apples (rotting) now
uncovered from the snow, a tiny green leaf
starting to warm up after its winter sleep. I
know it’s not spring yet - a few weeks still to
go- but as the sun rises higher each day in
the sky, it brings the hope of a new day.
Spring is a miracle of nature. It happens
without intervention, without prodding,
without any help from humans. (thank
goodness, we would ruin it ) Spring is
vibrant and spectacular.
Spring conquers the death and silence of
winter. Spring overcomes the harsh reality
of suffering and scarcity with joyous growing abundance.
If you are suffering from hardship, illness, adversity of unspeakable sorrow and
frustrations- have courage. Take heartspring is here.
Take a moment - clear out the oven cleaning fumes and feel how the sun warms your
face. It is good. Life is good.
