Photographs snapped up by The Orangery! Triple P Parenting Support Do you find your children sometimes don’t listen to you or won’t follow your instructions? All families are different and parenting can certainly be challenging at times. A local photographer has generously donated his time and 72 images he took of the Bexhill area for older residents in East Sussex to enjoy. Bexhill resident Jeff Penfold travelled around the area armed with his camera. He took a variety of stunning photographs predominantly within the boundaries of Rother. Triple P is the Positive Parenting Programme, available across the county, for parents and carers of children and young people. Hundreds of families in East Sussex have already benefited from the free programme which offers simple, practical ideas and strategies. It‘s based on developing strong, nurturing relationships, good communication and positive attention. To enquire about a group in your area, contact the Triple P Team on 01424 725800 or [email protected] We then paid for these to be transferred onto canvasses and placed around our extra care scheme, The Orangery, in Bexhill. These included shots of the sea front, the De La Warr Pavilion and Manor Gardens, together with other places of interest such as Battle, Rye and Bodiam. Marisa Vause, Project Manager, said: “Jeff had previously met with our residents at The Orangery and discussed potential themes for photographs. Our residents thought local places of interest would be lovely on the wall. We’re ever so grateful to Jeff for his kind act. His images are a wonderful addition to The Orangery.” New buggy store for Benizi Residents are enjoying their new electric buggy store at Benizi Court, Bognor Regis. The new addition to the retirement scheme is like a mini secure car park – complete with marked bays and electric hook ups. Residents had not previously had a dedicated parking area for their buggies, and had been using the lounge area at Benizi Court. 13 New year, New skill? Would you like to learn a new skill in 2018?
