LIVE - The magazine for Optivo residents Winter 2017 | Page 7
Over 60 people have joined our new Optivo resident governance structure.
This is the way residents can formally monitor and influence Optivo services.
Interested?
It’s a great way to learn new skills, build confidence, meet other
residents and make a difference. But don’t just take our word for it.
This is what some of our involved residents had to say:
It’s been a busy year for
our involved residents
and staff. We wanted
to make sure the new Optivo
resident governance structure
was a mixture of the previous
structures and was fit for purpose.
We’re still looking for residents
who are willing to give up a few
hours of their time who can show
commitment and want to improve
the services provided by Optivo.
All I have left to say is have a
lovely festive time and
happy New Year.
I went along to the
Midlands meeting in
early November. Before
the meeting I was a bit daunted
but on the day, everyone was
so nice and supportive, I really
enjoyed it. I’m looking forward to
more meetings, to look further
at Optivo’s services in
the Midlands region.

Hurry, we still
have spaces for
new members…
You can get involved at a
local level, looking at the
issues in your region. Or,
if you prefer, help us with
complaints and policy work,
improving services for
the whole organisation.
We’re continually looking for
residents to join us. So, if you
think you are that resident,
please contact your Resident
Involvement Team or email
