Removing the Stigma from Mental Illness:
An Osteopathic Approach
The SAAO’s 2016 Convocation will showcase the physiological reality of mental health as it interacts with the osteopathic approach to treatment. Convocation will be devoted to teaching students how to treat mental health through osteopathic medicine. With the purpose of improving both the physical and mental well-being of physicians and their patients, we will explore mental health and its reciprocal manifestations in the body.

In addition to the student workshops and lectures, you national SAAO executive council will be hosting a casino-themed student mixer! For the first time in convocation history, we will also be hosting a "Match Day Celebration" for those 4th year students who will be matching through the NRMP on March 18th. If you are interested in attending the match day celebration where our SAAO advisor, Dr. Surve, will be handing envelopes out to students with their match results, please email me at [email protected].
