Serving Those Who Serve

This September 11th, in rural Harrogate, TN, OMS students at LMU-DCOM provided a free OMT clinic for local Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Both 1st and 2nd year students came together to help serve those who dedicate themselves to serving the community. It was an excellent opportunity to spread the osteopathic mission and, as well, provided a unique learning opportunity for newly admitted 1st years to experience their first true somatic dysfunctions and releases. The eminent Dr. Howard Teitelbaum proctored the event, guiding students with the experience of a well-seasoned osteopath. This is the second annual free EMS clinic and it was so well-received that DCOM SAAO is now considering hosting the clinic biannually. ❉
