"Where We Were and Where We Will Go"

The year is winding down, and studying somehow becomes more exhausting, yet increasingly daunting with that test-not-to-be-named looming in the near future. And then you remember, convocation is just around the corner. There is nothing more motivating then a break away from classes and a new place to adventure, all while working to better ourselves at manipulations. Furthermore, convocation provides encouragement; we learn the stories and paths of those who came before us, the people who have redefined manipulations or their immediate successors. It is both humbling and inspiring to be taught by people who have written the books on OMM and who have made the Osteopathic profession what it is today.
Convocation also provides an opportunity to reflect on all we have learned and all the growth we have achieved in the last two years. Here’s what I came up with: In the last two years, we have learned a wealth of knowledge, how to laugh louder, smile brighter and to hold our heads a little higher. We have learned something about confidence and something about courage, and a whole lot about perseverance. No one said it would be easy, but could have known it would all have been worth so much.
So here is a big thank you to all who took time to teach, anyone who has ever provided a sense of confidence, and for all the motivation and inspiration. We won’t let you down in the years to come, and we will pay it forwards to those who come after us.
