LIVE NOW with Carson Wealth Issue 4 - Winter 2022 | Page 7

The year 2021 was an exciting and busy one for me . I took on new duties at Carson that offered me the opportunity to continue to learn more skills . On the personal side , I started the year with a kitchen renovation . I ’ m thrilled with the result and was happy to be able to host several gatherings with loved ones .
I also took a couple of vacations last year with our whole family together in one house . And my dad was able to come from Florida and spend a week with me for the first time in two years . The highlight of my year was the birth of my first grandchild , Hudson . I ’ m blessed to have my daughter and her family nearby . I get to see Lexy in her new role as a mom and experience all the joys of being a grandmom . We treasure the memories we are creating . Jess Holler , Director of Operations
There ’ s a lot of new excitement as my family of four will be growing by one ! Our son , Nathan , just proposed to his girlfriend , Alyssa . We are very excited to add a daughterin-law to the mix in 2022 . Our other son , Logan , is finishing his final year of college in Pennsylvania . So Stephanne and I are back to being empty-nesters again . Although our life continues to be very busy hosting lots of family and friends at our home in Tennessee , I find my respite on the farm . Working on the land , driving equipment , and enjoying the variety of wildlife ( including coyotes , bobcats , fox , and deer ). There ’ s something about being in the great outdoors , the smells of fresh cut hay , fall leaves , and the warmth of the sun on a crisp day that clears the mind and boosts my energy , enabling me to appreciate whatever each new day has to offer . John Saunders , EA Senior Wealth Advisor
Wow , what a year . My husband and I are now officially empty nesters ! Our daughter , Ragan , purchased a lovely home and is settling in . We ’ ve been busy with renovations and lots of painting ! It ’ s more than likely only a matter of time before she gives us a “ grandchild ”— the four-legged , tail-waggin ’ variety ( ha ha ).
As I start my 20th year of employment with the Carson Wealth family , I wish you nothing but Peace , Love , Happiness , and Good Health in 2022 ! Thank you for the continued trust you place in us and for allowing us to do what we truly love . Please stop by very soon for a cookie , beverage , and long visit . The time spent with our clients is truly the best part of my job . As always , I look forward to seeing each and every one of you this year ! Stay safe and well , my dear friends ! Erica Shaw , Director of First Impressions
Oh 2021 , where did it go ? The Toms were busy this year . Our big news was that we decided to put a pool in . The project finished in late June 2021 . Let ’ s just say the supply constraint issues from COVID made things interesting ! We got three months of usage this year and hope to enjoy the pool for many years to come . We also said goodbye to our 13-year-old German Shepherd Steffi , but added Heidi ( another German Shepherd ). She ’ s fun and loves the pool . The kids are well . Lauren is a sophomore at Williamsport High School now , and Ian has two more years of school at MSS . Stacey and I also celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary . I ’ m just trying to take it all in . They weren ’ t kidding when they said , “ Don ’ t blink , the years will fly by with kids .” I appreciate all of you . Cheers to 2022 ! Scott Toms , CIMA ®, Senior Wealth Advisor
Happy New Year ! The year 2021 was a year of new things for me ! A career and industry change led me to Carson Wealth , and it has been a wonderful journey . It has been amazing getting to know my team and learning more and more about the industry each day . I am very thankful for all the opportunities to become more knowledgeable and grow with our organization . I certainly look forward to new experiences this year as I am able to meet and get to know our clients .
Looking back on 2021 , the highlights were spending precious time with my family and enjoying time with grandchildren . We enjoyed the simple things like snow sledding , popcorn , movies , overnighters , and campfires telling “ spooky ” stories . We were also able to take a family trip to Hershey Park in the summer . I wish all of you a wonderful 2022 . Barbara Reed , Client Services Specialist
The year 2021 has certainly been a good year for my family . Tim is continuing to serve our local community as a case worker for QCI Behavioral Health . Levi , our eldest son , is working in IT and beginning to write a comic book series ! Kaylee , our daughter , switched majors last year to focus on psychology . She is going to follow her in father ’ s footsteps and wants to focus on behavioral therapy .
Last year , we added a new family member to the mix . Tim and I adopted a sweet little Chihuahua Pug mix named Bookshelf . I know , it ’ s a weird name , but our daughter insisted on it . So we call her Bookie . She is bringing laughter and joy into our home , and we are so thankful for her ! I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday season full of love and laughter as well . Looking forward to seeing you all this new year ! Amy Constable , VP of Operations
What a whirlwind the year 2021 has been . My husband and I welcomed our baby girl , Sophia , in May . Becoming parents has been so rewarding and the best journey I have ever been on . I graduated from Leadership Washington County as part of the 34th class . It was an amazing year both personally and professionally . I have thoroughly enjoyed building relationships with our clients and look forward to building more this year . Allison Keller , Client Services Specialist
Another year behind us and what a journey it has been . I would like to thank all of you for your trust in letting us help you towards your journey of financial freedom . I enjoy working from home but miss speaking with all of you .
This past year I became a great-aunt twice , to Ryder and Lucas . What joy they bring . And we celebrated my mother-in-law ’ s 92nd birthday and my father-in-law ’ s 94th birthday . We were able to get the motorcycles out for some good day rides . And we also spent some time in the Shenandoah National Park , celebrated Father ’ s Day in Nashville with our kids , and visited Charleston and Lake Hartwell for a much-needed getaway . And Jules , our dog , was the June dog for the Adopt a Golden Knoxville calendar . I ’ m looking forward to what 2022 has to bring . Sherin Storm Whitfield , Director of Finance , Registered Representative
Greetings to you all ! What an exciting year this has been ! I ’ d like to say that I ’ m blessed more than I deserve . We bought a new toy hauler camper and have been enjoying the great outdoors and campfires while socially distanced . My son , Drew , got married in August to Sydney . He ’ s working on his degree in finance and seminary studies while she is going to school to be a Nurse Practitioner at the Johnson City VA hospital . I also got married in October to my love , Ryan Parker . Don ’ t worry . I ’ ll still be here to assist you all — but with a new last name . Tracy Shuler , Director of First Impressions
