AMIE LYNN
COSPLAYER FROM USA
We interviewed Amie Lynn, a very
well known Cosplayer in the Cosplay
world! She’s current living in Arizona, USA, and is a massive Playstation fan! Here’s what she had to say..
Hi Amie, tell us abit about yourself..
Hello I’m Amie! I’ve moved around
a lot my whole life, but I’m currently
living in Arizona where I’m working
hard for my degree! I’ve always been
into video games and anime, and
have a love of tryin g new things all
the time!
How and when did you get into
Cosplay?
I got into cosplay when my friends
asked me to be a part of their group
for Code Geass. It was at Anime
Expo 2009 when I wore my first cosplays, C.C. and Fuu!
What do you love about Cosplay?
The thing I love most about cosplay
isn’t actually wearing the costume.
It’s getting to be creative and make
something with my own hands! I also
love cosplay because it’s how I met
most of my best friends.
Who’s your favourite character to
cosplay and why?
My favorite character to cosplay right
now is my Silver Scythe costume because it’s actually a character I got
to help design with the super talented Jeff Matsuda! The costume will
be featured in the upcoming video
game, Comic Conquest.
Tell us about the process of getting ready for a Cosplay event.
The day I’m going to wear a costume
it normally takes around 2 hours.
One hour for make-up and prep, one
hour for wig styling and piecing the
costume together! It’s quite an ordeal, and some of my costumes actually require a second person to be
around to help me put everything on,
like my Lightning!!
You have over 307 THOUSAND
fans on Facebook! That’s amazing! How did you become so well
known in the Cosplay world?
I ask myself that literally everyday.
I truly believe that as long as you
are passionate about making costumes, and you love meeting new
people and sharing your work, the
right opportunities will come your
way! And a lot of luck always helps!!
You also have a YouTube channel
- tell us about that. What do you
use that for?
I created a youtube channel only so
that I would be able to post blogs for
my fans on facebook! That’s really
the only reason it’s there, just another way I get to interact with those
who love cosplay!
Do you attend many Cospaly
events?
I do, normally I will do 1-2 conventions a month. My favorite events
are ones that have a lot to do with
