Are you a gamer? If so, what’s
your all time favourite game?
Ryan Leasure Photography | www.ryanleasure.com
I am a classic Nintendo fan and PC
gamer. I also love fighting games
and turn-based RPG’s. My all time
favorite, wow, I think it would be the
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
The Zelda series is my absolute favorite, and right behind would be
Donkey Kong country. I actually just
decided on my first Zelda cosplay!
I love to keep surprising everyone,
So I will just give a few hints as to
who it will be: It will be based off of
the character design from Skyward
Sword, but this character has been
in the Zelda series from the beginning!

Do you attend many Cosplay
events?
Is it difficult to get into character
at times? And how long does it
take you to get ready for an event/
photoshoot?
No, I am always ready to have fun
and enjoy myself when I get dressed
up. I remember when I was at Alamo
City Comic Con (San Antonio, Texas, USA), I was very sick the whole
con, but the minute I stepped out on
the con floor and made people smile,
I felt like a million bucks! I love meeting new people and taking pictures
and chatting with other Marvel fans.
Usually it takes me about an hour to
get ready, sometimes less. For the
Thor premiere, I made a Frost Giant cosplay and that involved body
paint, nearly 3 hours worth the first
time! I was working with my friend,
who is also an extremely talented
airbrush artist, and after the second
trial run, we were able to get me blue
in an hour!
I make all of the major events in my
home state. I would love to travel in
the US, but especially outside of the
states! I have been invited to a few in
other states, but I am only able to attend what I am invited to. (Show me
some love, Australia! I want to visit
you! Haha!)
Have you had any funny cosplay
experiences perhaps at a con or a
photo session you can share?
I have had a few funny moments here
and there, but my favorite was when
I met Danny Trejo. I was taking some
pictures with some Psylocke fans,
and I happened to see him walk by
with his bodyguards. I just said his
name quietly, and he turned around
and jumped in the picture with me!
We took two pictures and he was
such a sweetheart! After his panel
was over, I was still in the same spot,
and he came by again with compliments and awesome things to say!
Right when people started to notice,
he made his exit, but not before I
gave him one of my contact cards!
Ha! In the moment, I just thought to
myself, why not?!
Lastly, who are your favourite
Cosplayers & why?
Fahrlight, because she is one of my
absolute favorite Loki cosplayers
and she is so humble and gracious.
It is such a wonderful thing to see
cosplayers having fun and she absolutely does! (And she even gave
me a shout out on my birthday!) I
think it is immensely refreshing to
see successful cosplayers that are
unique, so anyone who fits that description is my favorite!
