COSPLAYER
VICTORIA COSPLAY
COSPLAYER FROM USA
This month we speak to Cosplayer
Victoria from USA who’s been in the
Cosplay world for over 7 years now!
Hi Victoria and welcome to Live
Magazine. Can you tell us a bit
about yourself and where you are
from?
I’m originally from Philadelphia but
I no longer live in the city. I run my
own birthday party business, model
professionally and am an occasional
Nanny. I love Ancient Egyptian History, Doctor Who, the DC Universe,
Cosplay, Reading, Writing, Comics,
Doll Collecting and Elizabeth Taylor.
And when did you get into Cosplay?
About 7 and a half years ago.
What are your favourite characters and do you make your own
costumes?
I’m partial to characters from the DC
Universe and Disney Princesses. I
make my own costumes, alter preexisting costumes and I also commission others to make costumes
for me.
Tell us a bit about the many “cons”
you visit and what a typical day is
like at them?
At the moment, I’ve been attending conventions around the country for 11 years, long before I was
a cosplayer. I’ve been to shows as
a simple con goer, a member of the
press, a cosplayer and working as
a booth babe. Days as a cosplayer
are hectic. You’re trying to get your
costume done in time for the show,
there’s tons of packing to do and
you literally can’t walk 2 feet without
stopping because someone wants
to take a photo of you. Sometimes
there’s group photo shoots to attend
which are always fun or I organize
my own. Days as a cosplayer at a
con are busy, busy, busy.

WALK 2 FEET WITHOUT
STOPPING BECAUSE
SOMEONE WANTS TO
TAKE A PHOTO OF YOU..”
