you need to stomp that are character specific to collect items.
The game has eight worlds and four
secret ones to unlock. Every level
has three green stars to collect and
a stamp (which can be used with
Miiverse posts). The infamous flag
pole is also an objective for every
level; reach the top for 10,000 points
and you get a nice golden flag on the
level select screen. Grab the three
stars and you will get a spinning Star
above the flag. Finish with all characters and the star turns gold! Do
this to every level in the world and
you get a paw print on your checklist!
The powerups provided are new and
some old. Of course the brand new
Super Bell I mentioned already, but
there is an alternate Lucky Bell that
gives you the same power as the
Super Bell but allows you to stomp
er Nintendo game, you have music
from previous entries and other franchises. Everything is perfectly balanced for the level you are in and the
music changes speed and tone accordingly. I have seen a few reviewers saying the game is a bit too easy
well unlock the secret worlds and
then the Crown World and say the
game is easy.
I believe it has a great balance and
you can always try complete the levels without power ups which makes
it a lot harder! With twelve worlds, a
secret playable character, hundreds
of secret stars and loads of secret
stamps to collect along with gold flag
poles the game runs in at well over
eight hours, to collect everything
100% alone I’d wager around thirty
hours with a couple friends sixteen
to twenty hours. This game is a must
buy for any gamer wanting a chal-

down as an invincible gold statue!
There is also the Tanooki suit, a portable cannon box, a portable Beam
box (light to kill ghosts), Propeller
box, your traditional Super Mushroom to go from small to big, the
Boomerang, Super Star, Fire Flower,
Kuribo’s Skate, Mega Mushroom,
Goomba Suit and the Double Cherry
which multiplies your character even
if you have a power up! Phew!
I was in control of six Mario’s at once
and it was really fun and hard at the
same time but made the boss battle much easier! Also included is
the White Flower Tanooki suit that
makes you invincible. If you die five
times in a level it appears. By using
this you can collect stars and stamps
and the golden flag pole but it won’t
actually account for you finishing the
level with that character. It is good
to use if you are getting stuck and
just want to breeze through and start
a new level and come back later on.
The audio is of course like any oth-
lenge, for any gamer wanting multi
player on the same screen back in
his/her lounge room.
Summary: Anyone can play this
game and enjoy it, it combines all the
best of Mario into one great package
and never disappoints, if you do not
own a Wii U and are on the fenc R
